Vernon Parish and Leesville Area Attractions

Known as the "Heart of Sportsman Paradise", there is a lot of activities for outdoor lovers of all kinds.  The area forest is dotted with lakes, and streams that provide a variety of options for bird watching; camping; hunting; fishing and ATVing.  Along with horseback riding, dirt bikes added to the mix of unlimited recreational activities.
The City of Leesville offers a ten-acre tract of land that includes a nine-hole golf course, club house, refreshment stand, paved lighted tennis courts and a separately fenced playground for children. 
Area Lakes
Vernon, Fullerton and Anacoco along with several smaller lakes and streams such as Sabine River, Anacoco Creek offer many options for fishermen of all ages.
Toledo Bend reservoir whose dam site is 17 miles West of Leesville, is the largest man-made lake in the Nation.  This short drive offers anglers of all ages the ability to catch bass, perch, and catfish as the many miles of water allows enjoyment of skiing, boating and some beautiful sunsets.
